Media Release
We’re pleased to announce that Cecil is now hosting Emmi’s Climate Hazard Data.
This dataset enables users to identify where and when climate hazards could become material for globally distributed assets.
The Climate Hazard dataset includes 160 layers of diagnostics across four key hazards: wildfires, cyclones (tropical storms), coastal flooding, and riverine flooding, across multiple climate warming scenarios. Each hazard layer provides annual return probability, intensity, and Average Annual Loss (AAL) variables.
Built on peer-reviewed climate model data (CMIP5/CMIP6), the dataset offers global coverage, with 1 km resolution for flood layers and 11 km for wildfire and storm layers.
It supports:
- Early-stage climate risk screening
- Regulatory disclosure and reporting
- Strategic adaptation planning at the security, asset, and portfolio level
This partnership brings Emmi’s climate risk data onto the Cecil platform for the first time, providing users with access to standardised, analysis-ready geospatial layers.
